Get into the habit of always putting your jewellery on last as a finishing touch after getting ready for your day ahead.
Also get into the habit of removing your jewellery when entering a Sea Pool Shower, the gym, working in the garden or doing any household tasks. (Chlorine, detergents, oils, perfume, make-up and hair spray all contain chemicals which can dull the finish of the metal).
Gently wipe jewellery clean with a soft cloth after each wear to remove any chemicals and oils from the skin.
Thoroughly dry jewellery after exposure to water. Moisture can cause tarnishing and can weaken springs and clasps.
Gold-plated silver jewellery can be cleaned with warm soapy water, but it must be rinsed thoroughly, dried, and then gently wiped with a soft clean dry cloth.
